Dear Students, Parents/Carers and Staff,
I hope this message finds you and your families safe and well. This past week has been a challenging time for us all, and I want to start by acknowledging the toll that violence, uncertainty and disruption have taken on our community. Despite this, our children and young people have engaged with their learning online with energy and resilience. Their achievements deserve recognition, and I know you will join me in celebrating them.
Our staff, both academic and non-academic teams, have also worked tirelessly to maintain continuity of education for every learner. Their care and dedication have ensured that our learners continue to make progress and feel supported, even in circumstances that none of us would have chosen.
As Nepal now moves into a new phase, we know that more challenges lie ahead. However, what we have witnessed within our Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ community gives me great confidence. The way in which families, staff and students have looked after one another has been a source of strength. It reminds us that education is not only about knowledge, but also about enabling both communities and individuals who are able to show compassion, responsibility and integrity.
It is now more important than ever that our young people receive an education that equips them with depth and breadth. Alongside strong academic learning, they need the kind of ethical leadership skills that Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ values seek to nurture. This is what will allow them not only to succeed personally but also to contribute positively to society, as it rebuilds and heals.
At present, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ is exploring the themes of Thriving, Belonging and Stewardship as we work towards developing our new strategic intentions. These themes could not be more timely.Ìý
Thriving requires both resilience and hope for the future.Ìý
Belonging speaks to the need for unity and mutual care.Ìý
Stewardship calls us to protect and rebuild what has been entrusted to us.Ìý
Together, these mirror the qualities that our country now needs and which our Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ students can demonstrate so well.
I want to thank you sincerely for the support you have given our children, our staff and one another during these difficult times. It is through such support that we can remain a strong school community, which embodies its motto of Excellence and Kindness at the Top of the World.
Stay Safe,
Caro
Principal
