World Scholar’s Cup Global Round
Our scholars recently returned from an unforgettable adventure to Doha for the Global Round of the World Scholar’s Cup, joining over 2,000 students from 58 countries. The week was spirited, competitive, and immensely fun. It was a whirlwind of debating, writing, quizzing, and connecting with fellow scholars from around the world.
In between the academic challenges, students enjoyed a thrilling day at Doha Quest theme park and a time spent exploring the Villagio Mall (their most talked-about highlight!).
The week concluded in spectacular fashion with a hugely successful awards ceremony, where our teams earned an impressive haul of medals, followed by the Scholar’s Ball which was a fitting celebration of all they had achieved.

Thank you to the music team for their two days of musical recitals. Over 70 secondary students were able to perform in front of their parents and the performances were wonderful.
A Level Foundation Presentations
The first A level foundation course, with 8 students who will be starting A level courses at ĢƵ in August reached its climax today. After a month of A level masterclasses, focussing on academic subjects and key study skills for A level students the course concluded with their group project presentations in front of the senior leadership team and their parents. All three presentations were truly impressive and deserved a much larger stage than the ĢƵ library could offer.
