Today I have had the privilege of visiting our community partners in Dhading. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has been working in the area since the earthquake and we are currently constructing a school for this community. The support that our families have given to fundraising for our community projects is greatly appreciated by both the team and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and the partners that we work with. We are very pleased with the progress of the building work and we look forward to visiting the children and staff in their new school building in a few months.

Primary News
The Primary team had a very exciting weekend holding Primary Sports Day, this is the first opportunity for the Primary children to participate in sports day for three years!Ìý
The Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 students competed in a carousel of athletics, football and T-ball events and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
The Primary teachers and PE Department were so proud of our children as they showed such great sportsmanship, supporting their friends and encouraging each other. It was also wonderful to see all the children cheering for and congratulating each other when the winners were announced, what a wonderful display of empathy and friendship.
There were some tense moments on the T-ball field, with children batting and just scraping past the fielders to stay in the game and score runs. This was alongside the amazing skills of our bowlers and fielders who managed to catch and bowl some of the team players out!
During the football games, the teamwork was evident with every child playing in each game and supporting from the sidelines as their teammates played. The atmosphere was electric and the children’s spirits were high!
Out on the athletics field, the children participated in a range field events including standing long jump, standing triple jump, shotput and javelin. The children showed their skills which they have developed during their PE lessons and impressed the teachers with the distance they jumped and threw!
We are very much looking forward to inviting the Year 1, Year 2 & Year 3 parents in for the second Sports Day event very soon.
Humanities Spotlight
We are thrilled to present our annual spotlight on the Humanities Faculty, where skill-based learning permeates all aspects of our educational approach. Our commitment to nurturing a deep appreciation for geography and history, coupled with invaluable life skills, sets the stage for the holistic development of our students. We aim to cultivate critical thinking, investigation, evaluation, and empathy, preparing our students to become conscientious and well-rounded individuals.
Our Key Stage 3 thematic curriculum has taken an interdisciplinary approach this academic year, encouraging students to make connections across subjects and sparking intellectual curiosity. Our dedicated team is committed to ensuring this curriculum remains relevant and enriching for all learners while infusing lessons with valuable skill-based learning experiences.
In history, students have delved into intriguing questions, such as whether a sandwich truly changed the course of world history in 1914, or how true to life historical films are. By exploring thought-provoking topics, our students develop critical thinking and analytical skills essential for thriving in today’s rapidly changing world.
In geography, our students have embraced sustainability by organising a recycled materials fashion show. This event showcased their creativity, resourcefulness, and commitment to environmental stewardship. These dynamic and interactive lessons serve to reinforce the importance of skill-based learning while inspiring our students to become active, responsible global citizens.
Beyond the classroom, our students have participated in various educational trips that complement their in-class learning and provide real-world experiences. For example, our Year 9 students recently visited a local NGO, where they engaged in a fact finding mission gaining insights into the vital work being done to address pressing social issues in Nepal. This hands-on experience helped them develop key skills while fostering a sense of empathy and social responsibility.
This week, our Year 10 students will embark on a research trip to study rivers, gathering data that will form the foundation of a project they will be completing over the next several months. Meanwhile, our Year 7 students eagerly await their sustainability-focused trip in Shivapuri in May, where they will gather data to enhance their understanding of the natural world. This data will form the basis of a study they will be completing for their end-of-year assessment.
In addition to our more academic offerings, we are excited to announce our upcoming historical fiction competition, open to all students. This event fosters creative expression and an appreciation for history by encouraging our young writers to explore the past through imaginative storytelling. We look forward to celebrating the inspiring achievements of our students as they continue to excel in their humanities journey.
Overall, we would like to express our gratitude for your continued support, which enables us to provide the highest quality education for our students. We eagerly anticipate sharing more updates and achievements from the Humanities Faculty in the coming months, demonstrating the power of skill-based learning in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

Term 4 Withdrawal Notification
Thank you to those parents who have confirmed that their child/children will be leaving Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ at the end of the term, i.e. 30th June 2023. Adequate notice is a requirement and avoids financial penalties for parents.Ìý It also allows us to refund your security deposits on time and helps us to plan ahead for the new term.
The deadline for providing the formal notice of the withdrawal of your child/children is Tuesday, 30th May 2023. The notice of withdrawal can be provided either by email or written letter to Ms. Manisha Bajracharya at the admission office.
After submitting the notice of withdrawal, parents will receive a clearance form to complete the withdrawal procedure nearer the end of Term 4. Please let Ms. Bajracharya in the admissions office know should you require any school documents/references to provide to the new school.
Late notice of withdrawal (or providing no notice) and failure to submit the form or return the school’s resources may fully or partially affect refunding the security deposit.
